Welcome to Grace Cottage. We are a recent renovation in the heart of the village. We hope that it has everything you could need for a relaxing hoilday after a long day exploring the Peaks. The property itself is an old traditional stone cottage, complete with 2 bedrooms, kitchen diner, lounge with wood burner, bathroom and enclosed back garden. The garden has been designed with guests in mind with plenty of furniture and a BBQ. It is tastefully decorated throughout. We have also provided books, DVDs, games and info about the local area so that if you do fancy a night in, you won’t be bored. We hope that you love Tideswell, the cottage and the Peaks as much as we do. It really is a beautiful part of the country.
The village of Tideswell stands in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Famous for its fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, known as "The Cathedral of the Peak", the village is also noted for its well dressing and carnival wakes. There is excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away and the popular Spa town of Buxton is within a 15 minute drive. The pretty little market town of Bakewell is also just a short drive away and well worth a visit.
The surrounding area abounds in idyllic walking and cycling spots to make the most of, you can also explore magnificent spots including the market town of Bakewell bursting with charm and the spectacular spa town of Buxton with much to see and do.
If a holiday touring the gorgeous Peak District is on your to-do list, Grace Cottage could be the perfect stay for you.
The holiday let sits right in the centre of the village of Tideswell, a quaint holiday spot with an assortment of charming spots to eat, drink, shop or just sit and relax with a coffee.
Tideswell has 4 dog friendly pubs within walking distance from the holiday cottage, a chemist, butchers, bakers and much more including a convenient supermarket open daily until 10pm.
We have 2 bedrooms - one king size bed and one double. Suitable for couples, friends or families. One room had a chest of drawers and a rail for clothes and the other has a built in cupboard with a rail. Both rooms have Smart TVs so if you need a lie in whilst watching Sunday Brunch, go for it!
Meet Grace - the chocolate labrador that the cottage is named after! We welcome 2 well behaved dogs here. Dog bowls are provided too. We want all family members to enjoy their holiday and our furry babies are very much included in this!
The garden is a great sun trap. It has 5 different levels with various seating options; a patio table and chairs for al fresco dining, a rattan style sofa and chairs plus a couple of chairs at the top of the garden for those brave enough to go that high! We provide a BBQ too so you can chill out after a long days hiking. The garden is enclosed so dogs can't escape at all.
Even though you holiday to get away from it all, we provide free wifi, and 3 Smart TVs in the property. Just make sure you log out of Netflix if you use it!
The cottage itself is smack bang in the centre of the village near all the local amenities which are detailed below. This means you can simply dump your car and take a short stroll to most things.
We are pretty tech savvy here so welcome any questions before or during your holiday. You will receive a very quick response to emails and texts. We welcome your feedback as we are keen to keep improving for future guests.

"We have just spent the bank holiday weekend at Grace Cottage. The cottage is just lovely, beautifully decorated throughout and with a very pretty garden at the back of the property. We were most pleased to discover we were between two pubs and an excellent fish and chip shop!
Tideswell is so close to Chatsworth House, Bakewell and the Monsal Trail, to name just a few options for weekend activities.
All in all a really great weekend in a very peaceful and comfortable location.
We highly recommend Grace Cottage!"
